More about card accessories

Toploaders are rigid plastic holders sized for a single card. They are what you reach for when a card comes out of a pack and needs to survive a drawer, a trade or the post. Regular toploaders take standard size cards; thicker cards need a thicker toploader, and each listing states the point rating it holds.

Binders and playmats sit on the other side of the hobby. A binder keeps a set together and visible, a playmat gives cards a clean surface to sit on during a game. Franchise binders and playmats appear here alongside the plain utility gear.

We range accessories to go with the sealed product we sell, so the list is deliberately short and grows as we find things worth stocking. Sold-out items stay listed so you can set a restock alert.

Card accessory FAQs

What is a toploader?

A rigid plastic holder that takes one card. The card slides in from the top, and the stiff plastic stops it bending or getting scuffed in storage, in a trade or in the post.

Will a regular toploader fit my cards?

A 3" x 4" regular toploader is made for standard size cards, 2.5" x 3.5", up to 35 points thick. That covers ordinary Pokemon, One Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. Thick cards such as relics or patches need a higher point rating.

Do I need a sleeve as well as a toploader?

Most collectors put the card in a soft sleeve first, then slide the sleeved card into the toploader. Ultra Pro recommend using their toploaders with their card sleeves for exactly this reason: the sleeve stops the card rubbing on the way in and out.

Do you ship accessories Australia-wide?

Yes. In-stock orders ship tracked from Melbourne, usually within 1 to 2 business days, and standard shipping is free on Australian orders over $99.
