If you're collecting sealed or grinding competitive Pokemon in Melbourne, The big May and early June Melbourne dates have now passed, so use this as a practical community guide rather than a live ticket calendar. The useful bit for collectors is still the same: where to play, where to meet people, and which official event pages to watch for the next round.
The events worth marking down
Melbourne Pokemon Regional. May 23-24, MCEC (event passed)
The 2026 Melbourne Regional has now wrapped. Keep the RK9 event page bookmarked for future Melbourne dates, because these events are still one of the best ways to see top-level Australian Pokemon TCG, side events, vendors and the wider competitive scene in one place.
You can walk the floor, check out the side event area (sealed drafts, casual pods), hit the Prize Wall for playmats and event merch, and watch players who actually know what they're doing. Side events themselves are open to anyone with a pass. no separate entry. and they're the part where people are just having fun.
The venue is Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Wharf. May 22 is check-in and side events only. Main competition runs May 23–24 (but you don't need to care about that part if you're spectating).

TCG Expo. June 7, Malvern Town Hall (event passed)
One venue, multiple vendors, one day. If you're chasing sealed product, this is the move. you can compare AU pricing across dealers without driving to five different shops. Older sealed stock, singles, graded cards, the whole thing.
The June 7 expo has passed. Check the official TCG Expo site for the next Melbourne date before planning around it.

One Piece Prerelease. June 5 at Ozzie Collectables (event passed)
OP-16 drops, prerelease happens the week before. Ozzie's running it on Friday. If you're into One Piece and want to get hands-on with the new set before it hits shelves, this is the entry point. Plus promos.
Weekly play (no drama required)
Most people don't compete at Regionals. Most people just want to play. That's store leagues.
Plenty of Games (Level 1, 278 Collins Street, CBD). Pokemon, Thursdays 6:30pm
They've been running this forever. Show up, play 2–3 matches, leave when you want. Sleeves required, deck legality assumed, bring whatever you've got. They're used to new players.
plentyofgames.com.au
Ozzie Collectables (Eumemmerring). One Piece, Saturdays 12pm
This is where the Melbourne One Piece scene actually is. Weekly locals, strong community, prerelease events when sets drop. If you play OP, this is your spot.
Good Games Melbourne (Level 1, 365 Lonsdale Street, CBD). check before going
They used to run Pokemon league. Their official listing is flagged inactive on the Pokemon event finder, so call first if you're planning to show up specifically for that. Singles and casual play still happen.
